Where you fly from decides more about a Phuket trip than the hotel does: the length of the flight, whether you need a visa, which months are your holidays and — above all — what the island costs once prices are converted into your own currency. This section keeps one hub per market. Each hub lists direct routes, the visa rule for that passport, the exchange rate to the baht with its recent history, and a weekly budget built from Phuket Travel Price Index medians, converted at the latest dated rate.
The 10 countries here are the markets we cover in depth, not a ranking. In 2025 the largest sources of foreign guest arrivals at Phuket accommodation were Russland, China and Indien, which together accounted for 40.3% of foreign check-ins according to Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The arrivals figure on each card is that ministry’s annual count of guests checking into hotels and registered accommodation on the island — not airport passengers, who include transit and domestic travellers.
Figures are shown exactly as published: no estimates, no rounding to make a story. Where the ministry keeps a country inside a regional aggregate, the card says so instead of guessing. Exchange rates come from the European Central Bank reference series; currencies outside that feed are noted on the hub. Price medians carry their observation month and sample size, and a segment without at least five observations shows no figure at all.
