How is each price observed?
On the 1st and 15th of every month, for a fixed travel date 30 days ahead, in each area and segment. The median, the low and the high of the sample are published with the sample size n and the season of the travel date.

무엇을 측정하는가
다섯 개 시리즈입니다. 지역·등급별 호텔 1박, 지역·침실 수별 빌라의 1박과 월세, 1인당 당일 투어 가격, 지역·차종별 공항 이동, 그리고 지역별 하루 생활비 세 등급. 각 시리즈는 하나의 '가격'이 아니라 관측의 집합입니다.
고정된 관측일
관측은 매월 1일과 15일에, 30일 뒤의 고정된 여행일을 기준으로 수집합니다. 그래야 달을 건너뛰어도 비교가 됩니다. 모든 관측점에는 시즌이 함께 기록됩니다(성수기: 11월~4월, 비수기: 5월~10월).
중앙값과 표본 크기
중앙값과 표본의 하한·상한, 그리고 표본 크기 n을 함께 공개합니다. 관측이 5건 미만인 구간은 데이터 없음으로 처리합니다 — 추측보다 null이 낫습니다.
출처
공개된 게시 가격, 파트너 가격 피드, 현지 확인입니다. 출처 이름과 URL은 자체 검증을 위해 모든 관측에 저장하지만 공개하지 않습니다. 이 지수는 제3자 카탈로그를 옮겨 싣지 않습니다.
통화
모든 수치는 미국 달러 기준입니다. 국가별 페이지의 현지 통화 예산은 fx.json의 환율로 환산하며, 기준일을 페이지에 적습니다.
추이 기록
월별 관측점은 price-history.json에 덧붙이기만 하고 절대 고쳐 쓰지 않습니다. 관측점이 둘 이상 쌓이면 스파크라인이 나타납니다.
절대 추정하지 않는 것
가격을 모델링하거나 외삽하지 않고, 다른 지역의 수치로 빈칸을 채우지도 않습니다. 없는 숫자는 관측될 때까지 그대로 비워 둡니다.
자주 묻는 질문
Why is a segment shown as "no data"?
Because fewer than 5 observations were available. A small sample is published as no data rather than as a shaky median — null is better than a guess.
What counts as high and low season?
High season is November to April; low season is May to October. The season is recorded from the travel date of the observation, not the date it was taken.
Are missing prices estimated?
No. Prices are never modelled, extrapolated from earlier months or filled from neighbouring areas. A missing number stays missing until it is observed.
How is the price history kept?
Monthly points are appended to the history file and never rewritten; a month is never duplicated for the same series. Sparklines appear once a series has two or more points.
Which currency is used, and how are conversions made?
All figures are in US dollars. Local-currency budgets on the country pages use the exchange rate on file, and the rate date is printed next to every converted figure.
How do I cite or correct a figure?
Every number may be quoted with a link to the page it comes from; the dataset is CC BY 4.0. To correct a figure, send the area, series, what you observed and the date through the contact page — it is re-checked on the next observation run. The first observation of the index is 2026년 9월.
