Thalang Hospital

The public hospital for the north of the island, on the Thepkrasattri Road in Thalang town, opened on 24 June 1938 and today a 90-bed community hospital with accident and emergency, surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, ENT, dental, X-ray and CT departments and a travel-medicine clinic that lists Thai and English. It is the nearest public hospital to Bang Tao, Layan, Surin, Nai Thon, Nai Yang and Mai Khao, about halfway between the airport and Phuket Town. The accident and emergency department is listed on the hospital's contact page; its 24-hour operation is the Ministry of Public Health standard for community hospitals and was not separately confirmed on 5 September 2026.
