Ao Sane Beach is 100 m of sand in 나이한, partly sheltered by headlands, without lifeguards, reached by 도로 free of charge. Best months to swim: November–April; rip-current risk from May to October: moderate. Good for snorkelling, quiet.
Ao Sane is the string of three small coves on the northern headland of 나이한 bay, reached by driving through the grounds of The Nai Harn hotel and along a narrow road: coarse sand, granite boulders, a rocky reef with the best snorkelling in the south after Ya Nui, and a low-key restaurant and bungalows that have been there for decades. It is the antithesis of a resort beach. The headland gives it some shelter from the south-west swell but it is not lifeguarded and the rocks make the entry awkward in any surf; a calm-month beach for people who snorkel. Sea kayaks come round from 나이한.

A headland takes the edge off the south-west swell, so on the island's rough-sea months (May–September) the sea here is usually 'some swell' rather than 'rough', and the beach is often usable when the open beaches are red-flagged; the rip-current risk from May to October is moderate, and rips still run off the rocks at the ends on big days. There are no lifeguards, so the judgement is yours.
