The fleet is 89 boats in six categories, every one with its own page, licensed capacity and the operator's published rate table. Speedboats and the long-tail — 10 boats from ฿23,900 (Kiri Long-tail 40) — are the fast, small boats for Racha, Coral Island and a Phi Phi day from Chalong; they carry 4 to 12 guests by day and have no cabins. Sailing catamarans — 17 boats from ฿25,900 (Fountaine Pajot 40 Coco) — are the wide-deck day boats for Phang Nga Bay, the Naka and Khai islands and Krabi, most of them from Ao Po and most of them licensed for twenty or more by day with cabins for an overnight; the one monohull sailing yacht in the fleet is chartered on multi-day itineraries only. Power catamarans — 19 boats from ฿35,900 (Gin 37) — keep the deck and add engines, which is what turns Phi Phi into a ninety-minute crossing.
Motor yachts — 23 boats from ฿40,000 (53ft Grand Banks Sambuca) — are the largest group: air-conditioned saloons, a swim platform, a crew of three to five, and a rate that depends on the route because fuel is inside it. The luxury class — 13 boats from ฿100,000 (Ferretti 80 Sofia) — is the flybridge and sport-fly yachts of 65 to 90 ft with chef options, jet skis and multi-day programmes; the superyachts — 7 boats from ฿350,000 (Bilgin 98ft) — start at ninety-two feet, sleep ten to twelve, and are the boats for the Similans, Surin and a week in Phang Nga Bay, with weekly rates quoted in dollars plus APA. 51 of the 89 boats publish an overnight capacity.
Every figure in the catalogue is the operator's published rate for the whole boat, in Thai baht, VAT included where the table says so, for the 2026/27 season; nothing on this site is estimated, and a boat whose page carries no table says "price on request" rather than a guess. 80 boats publish two or three season columns — a standard or low season from May to October, a high season from November to April and a peak window around Christmas and New Year that each boat defines for itself — and the card shows the lowest of them. 21 boats price a base headcount and charge per extra guest, from ฿1,000 to ฿10,000 a head, up to the licensed maximum; the boat's page prints both numbers.
Dollars are shown once, converted at the ECB reference rate of 2026-10-16 (33.415 THB per USD, ECB reference rate of 2026-10-16), so that a budget can be placed on the fleet before anyone asks for a quote. Outside the rate, almost everywhere: national-park fees in cash per person (Phi Phi ฿400, Phang Nga ฿300, Similan ฿500), alcohol beyond what the boat lists as free, and hours beyond the programme. The request form sends the date, the group and the format to the Phuket Travels concierge; the reply is the availability check with the operator and one final figure for that date. The operator is Horizon Cruises Phuket, our charter partner since Oct 11, 2026; the catalogue is kept in step with its published price lists and dated on every page.
Phang Nga Bay is the route that runs all year. The bay is enclosed by the mainland and Phuket's east coast, the limestone islands break the swell, and the hongs at Panak and Hong are entered by canoe from the mothership; the Ao Phang Nga park fee of ฿300 per adult is collected before landing. From Ao Po it is twenty minutes to the first karst; from Chalong it is two hours each way and the day is shorter than it looks. Koh Yao Noi and Yai are the same water without the fee and without the crowd — the sunset route, short and calm.
Racha Yai, Racha Noi and Coral Island are the clearest water within an hour of Phuket and carry no park fee; they are the natural first day for a speedboat or catamaran from Chalong and the only route where the west-coast swell matters in the monsoon. Phi Phi is forty-five to sixty minutes by motor yacht from Chalong or Royal Phuket Marina and a four-hour sail by catamaran, with the Phi Phi park fee of ฿400 per adult and Maya Bay closed from 1 August to 30 September. The Similans are a different trip — open 15 October to 15 May, ฿500 per adult, three hours by motor yacht from Yacht Haven or a night's passage by sail, and the classic two-to-four-night charter on the superyachts.
The chart of rough-sea days is built from the marine normals used across this site — the median number of rough-sea days per calendar month on the west coast, from Open-Meteo (ERA5), 2015–2026 with marine data from 2022-01. January, February, March, April, October, November and December are the calm months — zero to two rough days — and every route on this page runs. May and June bring three to eight rough days: the Phi Phi crossing is uncomfortable on some mornings and the Harbour Department occasionally holds boats in port. July, August and September are rough — nine or more rough days — when a yacht day means Phang Nga Bay or Koh Yao and the Similans are closed.
Two practical consequences. In the calm months the boat is booked before the villa is, because the few large motor yachts sell out for Christmas and Chinese New Year months ahead and the peak columns in the tables apply; in the green season the same boats sit in their low-season column and the sensible plan puts the yacht day on the east coast and keeps a second date free. A rough-sea cancellation by the Harbour Department is refunded or moved; a cancellation by the guest inside the operator's notice period is not.
The fleet leaves from 8 points on the east and south of the island, where the water is sheltered. Ao Po Grand Marina in the north-east is the base of most sailing catamarans and the large motor yachts and the closest start to Phang Nga Bay and Koh Yao; Royal Phuket Marina and Boat Lagoon on the Phuket Town side are the day-yacht marinas for Phang Nga and Phi Phi, with Boat Lagoon's channel tide-dependent; Yacht Haven at the northern tip is the superyacht marina and the departure point for the Similans; Chalong Pier in the south is where the speedboats, the long-tail and the southern catamarans leave for Racha, Coral and Phi Phi. Each boat's page names its own departure point.
For a villa week the marina decides the transfer: Cape Yamu and Bang Tao are twenty minutes from Ao Po, Kamala and Surin are forty, Rawai and Nai Harn are fifteen from Chalong and an hour from Ao Po. Most boats include a hotel transfer from one pickup point in the rate; a beach pickup instead of the pier is possible on request where the draught allows, subject to tide and weather.
For the whole boat, from the operator's published 2026/27 price lists checked Oct 11, 2026: superyachts from ฿350,000 (≈ $10,474, Bilgin 98ft); luxury yachts from ฿100,000 (≈ $2,993, Ferretti 80 Sofia); motor yachts from ฿40,000 (≈ $1,197, 53ft Grand Banks Sambuca); power catamarans from ฿35,900 (≈ $1,074, Gin 37); sailing catamarans from ฿25,900 (≈ $775, Fountaine Pajot 40 Coco); speedboats from ฿23,900 (≈ $715, Kiri Long-tail 40). Park fees, alcohol beyond the listed drinks and extra hours are paid separately; the final figure for a date comes with the availability check.
89 boats in six categories — 7 superyachts, 13 luxury yachts, 23 motor yachts, 19 power catamarans, 17 sailing catamarans, 10 speedboats — all operated by Horizon Cruises Phuket, our charter partner since Oct 11, 2026. 86 of them publish a rate table; 3 are quoted on request. Requests go to the Phuket Travels concierge, not to a booking engine, and nothing is charged on this site.
Per boat. 21 boats include a base headcount in the rate and charge per extra guest (฿1,000–฿10,000 a head) up to the licensed maximum; the rest carry one figure up to their licensed number. Dividing the rate by the group is the per-head cost — the cheapest sailing catamaran at ฿290,000 split by ten is less than most join-in tours per person.
January, February, March, April, October, November and December — the west-coast marine normals show a median of zero to two rough-sea days in those months and every route runs. July, August and September are rough; Phang Nga Bay and Koh Yao are sheltered and run all year. The Similans are open 15 October – 15 May only; Maya Bay is closed 1 August – 30 September. Low-season columns apply from May to October; peak columns around Christmas and New Year.
Ao Po Grand Marina (25), Boat Lagoon Marina (17), Chalong Pier (25), CoCo Pier (4), Nakalay Pier, Kalim (2), Phuket Yacht Haven Marina (1), Royal Phuket Marina (14), Yacht Haven Marina (1). Ao Po for Phang Nga Bay and Koh Yao; Royal Phuket Marina and Boat Lagoon for Phang Nga and Phi Phi; Chalong for Racha, Coral and Phi Phi by speedboat; Yacht Haven for the Similans. The boat's page names its departure point; beach pickups are on request.
Pick a boat, send the date, the number of guests and the format through the form on its page (or the general form on this page). The Phuket Travels concierge checks availability with the operator and replies with one final figure for the whole boat — usually within a few hours during the day in Phuket. Payment and cancellation terms are the operator’s, printed on each boat’s page; nothing is charged on this site.
